Baby Bags for Canterbury Early Years Project
Keji Moses from Mayah’s Legacy Charity ( who we are affiliated to and work with, and who does excellent community work ), Myself, The Lord Mayoress of Canterbury and the Deputy Mayoress of Canterbury all met to receive these on Friday 19th July 2024
I handed over 10 Baby Bags during their breakfast club which was very welcoming. These ladies were over the moon with our gifts, great company and I made good friends and contacts with them so that we can work together in making things better for struggling families, and the extent of this really saddens me.
Now onto E.K.H.U.F.T. Maternity Clinics next week, and from here we have applied for funding to continue this type of hardship relief. and applied for funding for midwifery training in: biomechanical birth methods, birth trauma and perinatal mental health. We will strive to put more smiles on faces while we carry on negotiating (wrestling….lol ) with authorities to implement the aims for Rebecca’s Law and our Mother and Baby residential Respite Home.
