“Damning inspections of maternity units across east Kent uncovered blood-stained toilets, dirty equipment onwards and a risk of babies being misidentified.
The Care Quality Commission also found chronic staff shortages, poor infection control and vital resuscitation equipment being stored in corridors during its unannounced visits”.
DISGRACEFUL: Personal account of a mother of 4 who was just recently delivered by caesarean in EKent Maternity dept., tells us that she was scared of the prospect of this delivery and after 2 days reported illness that was dismissed as caused by the caesarian. A day or so afterwards admitted to hospital with septicaemia and told if she had left this for another 12 hours she wouldn’t have survived.
