After a long consultation period with the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency), since 2017 when we lost Rebecca to, in July 2021 ( this year) they agreed to review the safety and administration of Mirtazapine. Read Bulletins 10 A and 14 A, B, C, D and E which evidence the risks of taking this medication in the current situation where it is not properly regulated, and in many cases therefore the risks outweigh the benefits. Even when this doesn’t result in suicide the side effects and consequences can ruin families.

I was offered a place on the review panel but they have since withdrawn this and replaced it with an opportunity to air my views regarding their decision. They haven’t appointed a panel yet and I await a response with reference to my role in the review procedure.
